About Union Street Counselling Service
Hello, welcome to Union Street Counselling Service. I am Hayley, a psychotherapeutic counsellor. My background is in the public and voluntary sectors including the prison service, working with families, and also older people's services. I currently work with a charity that supports men's mental health (www.dadsunltd.org.uk)
I am passionate about making a difference to people and helping them work towards living their best life possible. My own experiences in counselling around trauma, depression, relationships and difficult life events led me to train as a counsellor so that I can help others. It has been a long journey with many obstacles and challenges along the way.
You may be struggling with obstacles and challenges that are affecting your quality of life. Whatever you are facing, you don't have to face it alone. I will support and empower you to overcome life's more difficult challenges and improve your long term mental well-being.
Training and Qualifications
- Accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
- Registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
- Level 5 Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling.
- LGBT+ affirming and neurodiversity affirming practice.
- Professional indemnity insurance.
- A clear enhanced Disclosure and barring (DBS)check.
- Registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) to ensure GDPR compliance.
- Continuously developing skills and knowledge by undertaking regular CPD.
Union Street Counselling Fees
Online (video) session £46.00
In-Person session £55.00 (in-person session price increase is due to room rental costs)
Free initial 15 minute telephone or online consultation
Additional information
Sessions are 50 minutes long.
A limited number of concessionary places are offered. Please contact us for further information about concessions if you feel you may be eligible.
In person sessions are held at one of two venues of your choice, in either the ME1 or ME2 area of Medway.
Counsellors in Training
The costs of training and personal therapy can cause many counselling students to struggle financially. With that in mind we offer a low cost online counselling service for student counsellors. If you are a counselling student please use the 'contact us' form for information about our rates for counselling students.
